The growth of social media marketing has continued seemingly unabated during 2012.
It still remains a hot marketing topic on the radar of small businesses, entrepreneurs, digital agencies, marketing consultants, and PRs across Bristol and the wider UK.
And, as I spend alot of time researching and writing social media marketing-based blogs here, I thought it would be useful to offer a resource blog, as we’re halfway through the year.
So, here are the top six social media marketing blog posts of 2012 so far – based on audience readership:
* The 10 Commandments of Social Media
Although I wrote this blog post more than three years ago, it continues to remain a popular destination for visitors to my social media marketing and blogging outreach blog. Simple, straightforward advice to increase the reach of your social media engagement.
* How I generated £250,000 in social media sales in 12 weeks
This blog post was written over two years ago, and remains a firm favourite for marketing directors, digital agency heads, PR consultant and solo entrepreneurs. It clearly highlights how to build relationships and sales in an Agency environment to create sales and profit from social media marketing.
* How Kwik Fit risked my life to make a sale – shocking exclusive
The impact and reach of this blog post continue, since it was first posted back in late 2009. It attracts more than 100 hits per day, and shows how Kwik Fit failed to honour their health & safety obligations to customers. The Ebook published from the experience also highlights how to run a successful social media marketing Campaign, and ways to protect your brand online.
* Dispelling six social media myths
One of the more succinct editorial pieces in recent months, this blog post smashes some of the commonly-held myths about social media engagement largely held by traditional marketers and social media cynics. Giving clear and (relatively) unbiased inputs, well worth a read if you’re unsure about some of the benefits of consistent and professional social media marketing.
* Three social media marketing tools to use – today
The basic premise of this blog post was a simple and clear list of three social media marketing tools to save time and money. It has been one of the more popular blog posts of 2012 due largely, I suspect, to the fact that it points to easy, effective and accessible ways to create and deliver more profitable social media marketing Campaigns.
* Six definitions of successful social media engagement
Listing the six key considerations for measuring a social media Campaign, this blog post provides different ways to consider and measure what ‘successful‘ means for different people and businesses looking to undertake social media marketing. One of the big surprises in terms of feedback was the popularity of considering success in emotional rather than purely financial terms.
Hoping you find these Top Six blog posts useful, and good luck in your social media marketing.
